A first reply should confirm the request, ask for missing information, and explain the next step.

For a quote request: Thank the customer, repeat the service they asked about, ask for location, timing, and any photos or measurements. For an appointment request: confirm the service type and ask for preferred days and times. For a pricing question: give a range only if the business is comfortable doing so, then ask the qualifying question needed for a better estimate.

The best auto-replies do not pretend to be final answers. They reduce waiting time and collect missing context. Always make it easy for a human to take over.
